Stairlift Savvy (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website stairliftsavvy.co.uk. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

Stairlift Savvy is an independent UK guide to home stairlifts. We provide information, quote estimates, and referrals to UK installers. We are not a stairlift manufacturer, retailer, or installer.

What data we collect

Information you give us: When you use the self-quote tool, you may provide stair measurements (width, length, number of steps, rise, going). When you request a PDF quote or installer connection, you provide your name, email address, postcode, and phone number (if supplied).

Information collected automatically: When you visit the site, we collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time on page, and referring website, via cookies and analytics tools. We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense for this.

Cookies: We use cookies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. See our cookies notice for detail.

How we use your data

We use the data you provide to: calculate and deliver your stairlift quote; send PDF copies of quotes when requested; pass your quote details to a UK installer if you request a connection; respond to enquiries; improve the site and our content; show relevant adverts via Google AdSense.

Who we share your data with

We only share your quote details with a UK installer when you have explicitly requested a connection. We do not sell your data. We use the following third-party services that may process your data: Google Analytics, Google AdSense, our website host, and our email service provider. Each operates under UK GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

How long we keep your data

Quote requests are kept for 24 months unless you request earlier deletion. Anonymous analytics data is retained for 26 months. Contact form messages are kept until resolved plus 12 months.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold on you, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
