Independent UK guide
About Stairlift Savvy
Stairlift Savvy is an independent UK guide to home stairlift costs, brands, grants, and installation. We exist to fix the most frustrating part of buying a stairlift — the price secrecy.
Most UK stairlift companies hide their prices behind a mandatory phone call, leaving families to guess what’s fair, what’s overpriced, and what’s a genuine deal. We show you real price ranges, based on your actual stairs, before you ever speak to anyone. The quote tool is free, instant, requires no email to see the number, and isn’t followed by a sales call.
Our principles
Three things that shape every page on this site.
Independent
We’re not a stairlift company. We’re a guide. Our editorial doesn’t bend to a salesperson’s commission, and we say so openly when something stops being good value.
Honest
Real UK installer pricing. Real review of strengths and weaknesses. Real wait times. No marketing teasers, no inflated headline prices to make a “discount” look bigger.
Practical
Plain English. No jargon. Decisions you can actually make from a phone screen at the kitchen table — for yourself, for a parent, or for someone you’re caring for.
How we earn
We’re independent. We’re also a business. Here’s the transparent version of how we keep the lights on.
- Affiliate partnerships with reputable UK installers. We currently have an affiliate relationship with Brooks Stairlifts — when you click through to Brooks from our site and complete a purchase, Brooks pays us a referral fee. The price you pay is not affected. Brooks is also part of the Acorn group, which we disclose openly in our Brooks guide.
- Introducer arrangements for related products like extended warranty cover. We recommend Mark Bates In-Home Warranty for stairlift insurance — the policy you buy doesn’t cost more, and we receive an introducer fee from Mark Bates. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority and do not give regulated insurance advice; Mark Bates handles the full advice and contract process directly.
- Display advertising through Google AdSense on certain pages.
None of these change the editorial line. If a partner stops being good value, we say so. If a competitor is the better choice for your situation, we say so — and you’ll find that across the brand guides on this site, including ones where we have no commercial relationship.
Part of the East Riding Ltd network
Stairlift Savvy is operated by East Riding Ltd, a UK company based in Goole, East Yorkshire (Company No. 10350135, VAT No. GB 258 4156 86). We run a small network of UK mobility websites — each one focused on a specific kind of equipment, each one written with the same principles you see on this site.
- East Riding Mobility — our flagship mobility equipment store, serving customers across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
- The Travel Buggy Company — special-needs travel buggies for children and young people with additional needs.
- World of Wheelchairs — UK-wide wheelchair retail, with a focus on honest pricing and informed choice.
- Walking Aids Direct — walking sticks, rollators, frames, and crutches at trade-direct prices.
Each site is editorially independent and focused on its own audience. If you’d like to get in touch — about a stairlift question, a partnership, a press enquiry, or anything else — head to our contact page.
Your stairlift price in 60 seconds — no calls, no follow-up
